Towson, MD – September 15, 2014 – Berkley FinSecure, a W. R. Berkley company, announced today that Jon Martin has been promoted to Vice President, Sales and Distribution. In his new role, Mr. Martin will be responsible for management of Berkley FinSecure’s nationwide network of regional sales executives in addition to his current responsibility of managing Berkley FinSecure’s portfolio of credit union business. Working with his team, he will drive overall business development for the full range of Financial Institutions that the company targets, including banks and credit unions.
Mr. Martin joined Berkley FinSecure over four years ago as an underwriter for credit union bond, management liability and property/casualty products. Since 2013, Mr. Martin had been Assistant Vice President focused on credit union underwriting and business development. He began his career in the insurance industry over a decade ago, eventually focusing his expertise exclusively on Financial Institutions. Mr. Martin is a graduate of Ferris State University and received his MBA from Bethel College.
